Singalong and Bring and Share Tea.
On Saturday 7th February 2026 around 30 of us gathered to enjoy singing along to popular show tunes, with some quiz questions about each song while we got our breath back between songs! Half way through we stopped to enjoy the lovely spread and have a cuppa to oil our vocal cords ready for the rest of the songs. Voluntary donations brought in around £80 to go to MHA (Methodist Homes for the Aged)

Christmas 2025 at Trinity

We have had a very busy and enjoyable Advent and Christmas at Trinity. Lots of lovely services and also social events of various kinds. We began with the James Paget University Hospital Choir and guest soloists performing their Colours of Christmas concert. Each Monday at the Community Cafe a small band of Carol Singers popped outside for a quarter of an hour to entertain the passersby heading to and from the surgery and chemist. Our next event was our Christmas Coffee morning which included a raffle of Christmas hampers, a tombola, craft stall, some carol singing and of course refreshments. We then held our annual Carols and Mince pie evening, where the audience had lots of opportunities to sing carols and cringe at cracker jokes, before tucking into mince pies. Finally, on Christmas Eve we shared two very different but equally special services. At 4pm nearly 100 people came to our Christingle Service led by Mrs. Julie Warren. As well as singing carols, members of the congregation performed an impromptu Nativity and the service culminated in the lighting and distribution of 100 Christingles which were then taken to the back of the darkened church to create a beautiful circle of light whist Silent Night was sung. Later at 11.15pm a smaller congregation came to welcome in Christmas Day with a service of readings and carols.
At all these services and events we were collecting donations for our four chosen charities; EACH, Stroke Association UK, Wateraid and UNICEF for Children of Gaza. By the end of December a total of over £700 had been raised thanks to the generosity of all the congregations and audiences who had been through our doors.

Fish & Chip Supper & Quiz

On Saturday 11th October, a very enjoyable and successful Quiz with a fish and chip supper and raffle was held. Eleven teams competed against each other and enjoyed a delicious supper. Over £500 was raised.

Harvest Festival 2025

Our annual Harvest Festival in September once again brought in very generous donations for the local foodbank.

St George’s Singalong

On Saturday 26th April, we held a Singalong (belatedly celebrating St George’s Day, with traditional songs from all over England) and Bring and Share tea . Over 40 people enjoyed the fellowship, food, singing and a table quiz and whilst there was no charge, almost £170 was generously donated towards the cost of refurbishing the Community Garden.

Christmas Coffee morning.

Our annual fundraising raffle of Christmas hampers, craft stall and fellowship, including a Christmas sing song.

A Christmas lunch -supplied by Kingsley Homecare and enjoyed by over 30 of our church family.

Christingle Service. Our usual, lovely family orientated service on Christmas Eve, which as always included an impromptu Nativity and culminated in the distribution of Christingles to make a ‘circle’ of light around the church.

Candlelight Service -to welcome in Christmas Day. The congregation were welcomed with a cup of non alcoholic mulled wine and a mince pie and then were able to listen to traditional readings and join in carols

In addition, we also held a most enjoyable Carols and Mince Pies event where the audience enjoyed singing lots of carols and, in between, groaning at the cracker jokes!
At all of these events and services we were collecting in our Christmas stockings for our chosen charities, which this year raised, thanks to our generous visitors, £159.23 for the National Autistic Society, £198.30 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, £178.82 for the Louise Hamilton Trust and £164.75 for the Lowestoft Salvation Army.
